Frequently Asked Questions
Whether you are releasing your first single, finishing an album, or looking to take your production to the next level, our goal is to make the process simple, transparent, and stress-free.
Below you will find answers to the most common questions regarding project submission, file preparation, pricing, payment, turnaround times, and the workflow from start to finished track.
How do I submit my project?
In our contact form, you will find a "Link to download" field, which allows you to submit your project. You are welcome to transfer your project using your preferred file-sharing platform (WeTransfer, Box, Google Drive etc.). Please make sure your link remains available for at least 48 hours.
Mastering — Before You Send Your Mix
Mastering works best when we receive a mix that you're genuinely happy with.
Before exporting your mix, please:
-
Listen all the way through. Make sure there are no unwanted clicks, pops, dropouts, editing issues, or other technical problems.
-
Keep your mix processing intentional. Disable your master limiter, dither and normalization before export. If you have master-bus processing that is an intentional part of the sound, leave it on — just let us know.
-
Leave some headroom. As a general guideline, aim for peaks around -3 dBFS or below. There's no need to turn your mix down to a specific number if it is otherwise healthy and unclipped.
-
Export at 24-bit and keep the same sample rate as your project.
-
Include a reference track if there's a particular sonic direction you're aiming for.
One Last Thing
Don't overthink it.
There is no magic export setting that will make or break your master. A great mix with a clear creative direction is far more important than hitting an arbitrary number.
If you're unsure — send us a message. We'll help you figure it out.
Mixing — Before You Send Your Files
The better prepared your session is, the more time we can spend doing what actually matters: making your music sound great.
Before sending your project, please make sure:
-
Give everything a final listen. Check for unwanted clicks, pops, breaths, editing artifacts, timing issues, or anything else that shouldn't be there.
-
Keep your tracks aligned. All exported files should start from the same point in the timeline so they line up correctly when imported.
-
Keep names simple. Use clear names such as Kick, Snare, Lead Voc, BGV 1, Bass, Elec Gtr, etc.
-
Keep the important processing. If a plugin is an essential part of the sound you want to keep, leave it printed into the export. Otherwise, feel free to bypass processing that you don't need us to retain.
-
Export at 24-bit and keep the same sample rate as your project.
-
Include a rough mix. Your rough mix helps us understand where you're coming from and what you were aiming for. If you have reference tracks that capture the sound you're after, include those too.
-
Keep it tidy. Put everything into one ZIP file and include the song title and BPM in the filename.
Don't worry about making everything perfect before sending it. If you're unsure about something, just ask. We'd rather have a conversation than have you spend hours preparing files unnecessarily.
Sound Design & Sonic Identity — Before You Send Your Files
The more we understand about what you're trying to create, the better we can shape the sound around your vision.
Before sending your project, please consider including:
-
Tell us what you're looking for. A mood, reference track, visual, feeling or even a rough description can be enough to get us started.
-
Send references. If there's a particular sound, artist, production or atmosphere that inspires you, include it. It helps us understand the direction you're aiming for.
-
Include your current material. Send any existing sounds, stems, samples or project files that you want us to work with or build upon.
-
Keep what matters. If certain sounds, effects or processing are an important part of your current identity, let us know so we can preserve them.
-
Don't worry if it's not finished. Sound Design is often about exploration. You don't need to have everything figured out before you come to us.
There are no wrong starting points.
If you're not quite sure how to describe what you're looking for, just send us what you have and tell us what you want it to feel like. We'll take it from there.
How long does the process take?
Delivery times depend on the service and the complexity of the project.
Typical turnaround times:
-
Mastering: 2–5 business days
-
Sound Design: Estimated before project start
-
Mixing: Estimated before project start
If you have a specific deadline, please let us know before starting the project, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
When do I pay?
We believe you should feel confident in the final result before you pay.
Payment is only due once the agreed work has been completed and you have approved the final version. This includes the revisions outlined for your chosen service.
No upfront payment, no surprises — just a straightforward process focused on getting your music where you want it to be.
Can I request changes or revisions?
Yes.
We include revisions to make sure the final result matches your expectations. We encourage open communication throughout the process so we can achieve the best possible outcome together.
Additional work outside the original scope will always be discussed beforehand.
